BTW, I understand the Lib in the background was tough to fly in formation – especially in combat.

Masako and Spam Musubi 
Years ago i was visiting the B-24 museum in Pueblo Colorado. I lucked out and several old pilots were sitting around there telling war stories. One of them was a woman who ferried the planes to England. He stories were very interesting. I wish I remembered them.
You were blessed to have had that experience, Sir. I, too, wish I could remember names but perhaps it is enough to reflect on these heroes in your heart. They will always be remembered.
These women did the world a great service!!
Not all of the American Veterans are heroes. I remember the WW 2 Veterans bragging about the things they did in the war and also the things they saw other Americans do. Patton gave a well documented order to not take prisoners but kill them all.
