Happy New Year, folks, as we descend slowly into the fiscal abyss…
Anyways, I was hoping to start off this new year of blogging with more exciting stuff…but it is somewhat exciting if you are looking into your past.
You pro genealogists are likely aware of it but I happened to stumble across it and thought I’d share…
So even if you are just curious about your past generations, here is a government website (part of the fiscal abyss) of old newspapers!
Library of Congress Website for Old Newspapers
Happy News-ing.
Sigh, if only they had newspapers for areas I was searching in…
😦
Thanks for the info! Looking forward to checking this out.
Hope there will be something for you!
Are you kidding…?
I was working on my baby purées translation, and now you made me so curious.
Thanks.
You’re welcome.
Thanks for the link! Very cool.
You are welcome. I hope you can stumble across something!
This could be VERY fun. And helpful. Thanks Koji!
What really surprised me was the number of times “Kanemoto” was mentioned…for crimes at the turn of the century! 😉
Uh-oh…..didn’t consider the “other” side of the news we might find about our families!
Well, I haven’t determined their link to me as of yet…and I hope not!
Here’s to hoping….though we don’t get to pick and choose our family! You will have to keep us posted!
What a great link. Thanks!
Its great if is provides value. Hopefully, you may find something!
