An Unexpected Honor Guard

First class.  Awesome.  Fantastic.  Honorable.

I was in humble disbelief.

Delta is my airline of choice…and I had many reasons for choosing Delta.

Now, I have another reason.  And I am grateful.

Delta has an Honor Guard.  That’s right.  An Honor Guard.

Bravo.

Look at the passengers behind the glass.  They were fortunate to have watched.  Imagine what they were feeling.  I wish I had the opportunity.

What do you all think about this service…from an airline?

    1. Thank you, GPC ox. I’m sure you felt the same “thing” that I did while watching. While I am inclined to believe this was for a MIA who remains were finally identified, it was stellar of Delta to honor this fallen soldier.

  1. I’m speechless and with a heavy heart! Why, why, why? Why all this senseless loss of life because of wars??? Big wigs give the orders and the “little ones” give their lives …. Stop staying it is to protect this country. Behind every war there is greed, money making and power!!
Undoubtedly, DELTA has done a wonderful job in honoring these men and the relatives left behind! TY for this post …..

  3. I am so very glade to see a company whose employees have enough respect to stop and honor a fallen hero.

      1. Yes it was great I do not know of many company’s who will let there employees do this on company time.

      2. I wonder if we forwarded this to one of the media if they would pick up on it? Just a thought. Have a great day. Jim

  4. Thank you, Koji. It touched me deeply. It is clear the employees and their execs care, and take the time to do it right. May they have the reason to do it less every month, until it becomes just a fond and much appreciated memory of a sad and troubled time.

  5. I’m so glad you shared this, Koji. So moving. I did watch the people behind the glass and I can’t imagine being able to do it without a bucket of tears. Something done right!
