While Americans will have opposing views on President Reagan, I am proud to say I miss Uncle Ronnie…but not as much as Nancy.
For some reason on this day I am thinking of a Presidential second inaugural, that of Ronald Reagan! He summed up the theme of his Presidency well with this observation in his speech that day:
Four years ago, I spoke to you of a new beginning and we have accomplished that. But in another sense, our new beginning is a continuation of that beginning created two centuries ago when, for the first time in history, government, the people said, was not our master, it is our servant; its only power that which we the people allow it to have.

Many of us miss this guy with all of our hearts. And Nancy. Thank you for posting this.
Thank you for visiting this reblog!
I was 19 when I voted for the first time and President Reagan was the person I voted for. Back then, newly married I had other things on my mind and did not really know too much about him. I agree on your observation that we will never see his likes again… He was an American.
I miss him too, he was always one of my favorites. Did you happen to notice the US Navy ad on tv? The number 76 aircraft carrier is the USS Ronald Reagan.
No way I could miss that! And if you ever are blessed to visit his library here, bring lits of Kleenex…
