No, I haven’t. David has been. I have not been there. But if I ever go, it will be to see that wall.
The Wall is so difficult to look at, but a reminder that it should never happen again!

It wasn’t until this fourth time that I mustered the fortitude to actually visit and touch it… and shed some anguish. I had my two tykes with me this last time so perhaps that is what gave me the courage… And its OK for Marines to cry, Gunny.
Just no emotion, Koji-san. I couldn’t even cry at my mother’s funeral.
That was exactly how Mr. Johnson was at Old Man Jack’s funeral.. until after it was over.
